RF Hardware Engineer

You will be in charge of designing RF transmission lines at the chip and package level. In this role, you will work closely with silicon photonics IC designers, interface with RF analog IC suppliers, and drive the board's RF development, and test. 


You possess the design experience of RF simulation, circuit design, and a profound understanding of signal integrity.

Main Tasks :

  • Co-design Validation boards and Reference Design Implementation

  • Create schematics that includes high-speed IC's, photonics IC's, microcontrollers, communication interfaces, and layout of the PCB or substrate for 0-60 GHz transmission lines. 

  • Follow-through the fabrication, and bring-up of the validation board

  • Evaluate external suppliers components (modulators driver, TIAs)

  • Conduct component and system-level characterizations for optical and electrical performances 

  • Collaborate with the photonics IC designer to manage RF signals on the silicon photonics die  


Skills & Qualifications:

  • MS, Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering

  • 3-5 years of experience in electronic system design and implementation, including RF circuit simulation (0-60GHz), circuit design, PCB layout, and characterization.

  • Experience in high-speed circuit simulation and troubleshooting both at circuit and substrate level.

  • Experience in using VNA, 

  • Proficient in using EM wave simulators, HFSS and Circuit simulation (e.g. ADS)

Work experience :

  • 3-5 years of related hands-on industrial high-speed design experience


Education :

  • MS, Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering


Others :

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment, accomplishing tasks with limited resources at a rapid space

  • Problem-solving attitude 

  • Very motivated by Customer product development activity

  • English language mandatory (international context)
