LEAF Light™ EVK
Evaluation Kit for our DWDM-native Laser Source

The LEAF Light™ EVK is for evaluating the performance of the LEAF Light™, a single-chip, DWDM-native laser source, and its advanced features that improve the quality and maintainability of optical links.

The EVK delivers up to 8 optical fiber outputs for Co-Packaged Optics solutions addressing the scale-up network of AI-factories.

The EVK accommodates up to two LEAF Light™ LOSAs (Laser Optical Sub-Assembly), each mounted on a TEC (Thermo-Electric Cooler), and contains the corresponding control electronics and user interface. Each LOSA is connectorized and packages a LEAF Light single-chip with fiber pigtail attached. The EVK is compatible with 8 or 16 wavelength LOSAs.

The control electronics drives the laser current sources, and uses the monitoring photodiodes, and thermal sensors to showcases the advanced features for monitoring and maintaining link quality over time in all conditions. It also drives the TEC of each LEAF Light™ LOSA which emulates different operating temperatures.  A dedicated microcontroller hosts an embedded server and runs the graphical user interface. This enables intuitive operation, while also enabling advanced automation through direct server commands
